Student Drop-off and Pick-up

•  Please make sure your dancers arrive 5 minutes early and are ready to dance before class time. Dancers should not arrive more than 10 minutes before class time--especially if they are the first class of the day!
• Please make sure your dancer uses the restroom before class begins.
• All dancers should be picked up promptly at the end of class. Teachers have other commitments and families of their own, so please be respectful of their time. After a 10-minute grace period, a $15 late pickup fee will be added to your account. 
• Check your dancer's bag before leaving the studio to make sure they have all their belongings, as well as for any important notes that have been sent home with your child.

Student Conduct

• · Arrive on time and ready for class

• · All cell phones must be turned off during class and should not be used at any point during class
• · No gum is allowed in the studio
• · No food or drink is allowed in the studio with the exception of water bottles
• · Please make sure your dancer uses restroom before class begins

Dress Code

· Proper dancewear is imperative to the learning process. DANCEWEAR MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!! The first time a dancer is not wearing proper dancewear, a note reminding them to wear proper attire will be sent home. On the second occasion, they may be asked to sit and watch class. A soccer player wouldn’t show up to practice without their shin guards and cleats, dancers shouldn’t show up without proper shoes and dancewear. Please bring your student dressed and ready for class with proper dance attire, shoes, and hair pulled back.

Holidays, Inclement Weather, and Other Cancellations

• We do not follow any specific school district calendar. 
• In some cases of inclement weather, we may be forced to cancel classes. A cancellation decision will be made by 8:00am for morning classes and by 2:00pm for afternoon/evening classes and announced on studio voicemail, social media, via text, and on our website. 
• There are 2 emergency cancellations included in the price of tuition. If additional classes are cancelled, a make-up class will be arranged.

Class Observations (Watch Week)

We will have “watch week” two times throughout the dance year. ONE observer is permitted to sit in the studio and watch the first full week of classes during the months of November and March. 

Waivers

As part of your registration process, there are several waivers you must fill out. 

• Images and Videos--Occasionally, Dance Express will use picture and video of our dancers in advertising and promotional material. If you have any concerns or would NOT like us to use your dancer‘s image, indicate that during the registration process and email the studio. 
• Liability and Insurance--Every dancer must have a signed liability waiver on file. Please be sure to read the liability waiver carefully and sign it prior to attending any classes. 

Web Site

Our website is updated frequently. Please check it periodically and use it as your go-to for any questions you may have throughout the year. Student pictures will periodically appear (without names) on our website. If you do not want your child's picture to appear on our web site, please let us know in writing.
